Lauren is an Associate at Concept Ventures, where she focuses largely on deal sourcing, as well as partnering with our founders.
Before joining Concept, Lauren studied Experimental Linguistics at UCL, with an interest in how voice assistants like Siri and Alexa learn to process language. She later completed a Master’s in Information Systems at LSE, where her studies centred on AI and data governance. These experiences shaped her deep interest in how humans interact with technology and the systems that underpin it.
At Concept, Lauren plays a key role in both investment and founder support.
In 2025, she led a landmark project on the state of pre-seed investing in the UK, helping sharpen the firm’s view of the ecosystem and uncovering various market & founder trends. Alongside her investment work, Lauren focuses on various talent networks - helping Concept’s portfolio companies with everything from sourcing potential hires to designing outbound processes
She describes herself as “chronically online” - a passionate observer of all things internet.
